The song written and recorded by Michael and Paul Anka during "Thriller" session, but never finished. Michael left the tape in Sony archive box with recorded vocal and piano music playing by Paul Anka. "This is it" song was in first place recording for Paul Anka album "Walk a Fine Line", but never been included by the matter of unfinished work on it. In year 1991 singer Safire made cover of the song but changed title of the song for "I Never Heard" and released on album of her. Finally Sony accidentally found the tape didn't known the history of the song and finished the song making rest music and recording Michael's brothers, The Jacksons background vocals and released it on October 12, 2009 at midnight as the single soundtrack of forthcoming movie "Michael Jackson's This is it" from the last rehearsals to series of concerts in London, which was in theatres all over the world. However the song never been planned to be singing by Michael on the shows. Sony made it as the single soundtrack of "This is it" movie, because of the fact it was good love song falling in ear and has coincidence the same name of Michael's last tour.
The song is playing in the last sequence of the movie, at end credits.
